Diana Salameh was born in the Foothills of the North Carolina Mountians in 1956 and raised on her family farm. Diana
spent alot of time in her mothers home state of Mississippi and moved there in 1993 full time. Dianas love of comedy
and ability to bring characters to life has been a life long love of hers, something she started to entertain herself growing
up on the family farm. She feels that without laughter the world is a sad and dull place. Being asked if Granny Mae
was modeled after her own Grandmother she quickly says NO, I only wish! Granny Maes look is a composit of both
her grandmothers but the personality is Dianas alone, someone she feels she is evolving into. All of her characters
represent a part of her inner self that come to life when she is on stage or in front of a video camera.
