Welcome to Beavers Dam Mississippi, home of Possum Festival. Located
in the Mississippi Bayou's . Beavers Dam is populated with a host of misfits and disfunctional characters with Granny
Mae Bankhead the most colorful one of all. Granny Mae is a toothless , foul mouthed moonshine loving granny who loves
to go boot scooting in the local Jute Joints with her boyfriend Virgil on the back of his old mule Mabel.
Granny Mae lives with her daughter Massy Ferguson Bankhead and her two children and a host of cats in the
back rooms of the local Mississippi Welcome Center. Granny Maes daughter Candy Cane is the Madame of the
local Kat House thats owned by the sherrif. Her Son Crissy Crocket who is a female impersonator
has just moved back into Beavers Dam and into the Welcome Center with his mother and sister. Granny Maes cousin Viola
Grump is the local Bible Toting Church lady from Beavers Damn Missionary Baptist Church. News is broadcast
around the county by Georgette Featherston who works as Newswoman for Salami TV. Root Worker and Voodoo
Queen Mamma Maebelle keeps the whole place filled with magic.
