Granny Maes oldest child was born in Beavers Dam shortly after Maes first marrage with the name of Mable . Mable got knocked up at age 16 by a carnie boy who came through town during the Possum Festival, and had to leave town when she started showing to have the baby up north in Arkansas. Mabel gave up the baby she named Trixy for adoption while she was living in Little Rock, where she lived long enough to learn a trade she could take with her through her life.  So after bleaching her brown hair blonde she came back to Beavers Dam under a new name "Candy Cane"and went to work for the Sherrif at the Cotton Road Kat House where she later became Madame.
