Tallulah Mae Bankhead was born and raised in the Beavers Dam Community of Mississippi on her Grandparents place better known as Bankhead Plantation.  She was born to Bureguard and Nanny Jane Bankhead. Her father died when she was a child so she was raised by her mother in a share croppers shack on the place and never allowed to go into her Grandmothers house for fear she would break something. Mae grew up to become as moonshine loving as her daddy and just as kind hearted. Mae has grown children, Candy Cane, Crissy Crocket and Massy Ferguson, all by different daddies.  Mae loves to go boot scootin with her Boy Friend Virgil in the back waters on the bayou jute joints and speak easys, riding on the back of his old mule Mabel.  After her mother passed away at 106 she has moved for the first time into Bankhead Plantation House along with her half twin sister Maebelle.The thing is Maebelle is the local root worker, so theres never a dull moment at Bankhead house now that Granny Mae and Mamma Mabelle have moved in.
